11/11/2019 0 Comments Final Reflection When I first came into this class I only knew basically how to turn on a camera and focus it. I could take pictures in auto, but not any good ones. The composition assignment was very helpful to me to just see the basics of taking a good photo. You can see they are not good photos, down below I've included my best ones and still they aren't very good. I thought that they were pretty good, but looking back at them they're not good. Once I learnt about the exposure triangle and got the hang of it my photos improved but still were not very good. I had trouble with manual focus when people were running because it took me a minute to get the image looking good. Then, I didn't edit my photos because by the time that I got the photos opened on photoshop they took too long to get it into a jpeg and I didn't have time to edit them. I learnt how to do the adjustments, but that was it. When you look at the first few photos I turned in all I could do was mess with contrast and lighting. Look right to see one of my first photos which barely had any editing done to it at all. I was able to properly set them up and take good raw photos, you can see there is not much editing on the ones above. If you look at some of my later photos you can see my skill improve. Look below to see the original still life photo taken compared to the edited version. I was able to make the grass look greener and bring out the black of the felt board. Then you can look at my photoshop. Originally when I started on photoshop I was so confused and everything just took me a really long time to get. Working with adjustments was all I knew. Look at the second car I did. I wasn't able to select it properly so I actually drew in the wheel with paintbrush. Even when you look at multiple me, you can see which one I did first and which one I did after getting the hang of it. Then look at one of my tutorial, it was way more steps though I was able to complete that well.

11/7/2019 0 Comments Photoshop Assignments - PunsFor this assignment, we had a lot more freedom. We got to make visual puns. Mine are french fries, ladybug, and soap opera. Basically, visual puns are a phrase or word that you can guess by looking at the photo. Something I learned was how to use history. I haven't made any huge mistakes that I couldn't fix with a Command Z so I hadn't experienced using history. On the photo of the fries there was a watermark that I had to get rid of and in the process of doing that I had made the background of that original layer white so when I went to change the background color there were white spots. I learned then to put the background color first.
11/4/2019 0 Comments Photo 7 - Black and WhiteThis is the last photo assignment, I chose to do black and white which is where you turn the photo black and white in photoshop and mess with the contrast, hue, saturation, etc. I loved this photo that I took of my dog and had already used my open and animal slots up so I turned it black and white with the rest of these photos. I learnt about turning a photo black and white isn't enough, you have to really work on other stuff to get it to look the way you want. If I were to take these photos again I would've taken more time setting it up so that the aperture is fitting with the shutter speed with the amount of light in the area I'm taking the photo.
